We recognize that our ultimate financier of bike station is you, the taxpayer. Our model generates revenues to increasingly offset funding while best converting non-cyclists into bike commuters. This way, we become self-sufficient by growing new demand while reducing pollution at the same time.

Generate revenue

It begins as a seed. With initial care, the plant eventually grows strong enough to thrive without intervention. In time, it releases seeds of its own, and populates many more plants.

Competing concepts rely on perpetual watering, only it's dollars that we're showering down on bike parking, year after year. Alameda Bicycle's model generates revenue from day one, offering complementary services such as repairs, commute accessories, and bike rentals. We also offer classes and host events, all to ease your transition into a daily bike commuter.

Rather than competing with neighboring bike shops, we help grow the pie so that our slice is smaller than the growth we generate. This way, everyone wins.

Eventually, our revenues grow large enough to pay for operations. We become self-sufficient, requiring no more funding yet provide bike stations in perpetuity.
